Safe Football Certification Program

Benefits of Certification

In simple terms, being Safe Football “Certified” means the coach has an expert-level knowledge of contact technique, and this qualification is quickly becoming the gold standard for Youth and High School Coaches.

Why are Safe Football Certification standards so stringent?

Not ALL educational programs are created equal. While most anyone can graduate from a junior college or an online university, obtaining a degree from an Ivy League School is reserved for this who meet the highest standards of academic excellence.

The title “Coach” is something we take very seriously, because coaches are the key to saving the game of football. This title comes with a great responsibility, and we owe it to our kids to provide them the very best information possible in the interest of their safety and personal development. The best “Coaches” are the best teachers, and the best teachers not only have the best information, but they have the best interest of their subject in mind.

Blowing whistles from the sideline, and yelling vague instructions doesn’t cut it anymore. We believe coaches must be hands-on and able to effectively show their players what they want, in crystal clear quality. Additionally, coaches must point out mistakes and troubleshoot them with their players in terms they can undertand. Last, coaches must support their players development through positive leadership. By and large, these basic standards aren’t being met currently in the lower ranks of football, and it is our unequivocal goal to change this organically through the expansion of Safe Footballs curriculum and ideals.
